Smart Vision Works, LLC (SVW) is an engineering research and product development company that was founded in 2006 to take over the operations of a former company, CS Technologies (CST) founded in 1996. The two companies have developed machine vision systems for visual inspection and automation applications in several industries including biomedical, railroad maintenance, pharmaceutical, electronics, semiconductor, food processing, and agriculture. While CST focused on providing engineering and development services in the area of machine vision applications, SVW was founded to begin focusing on developing new products based on CST’s proprietary technologies in real-time embedded vision systems, machine vision applications and video processing, and to form manufacturing partnerships to commercialize new products.
