Fruit Color Grading:
SVW's latest product ColorSort was developed for sorting fruit quality by color. This real-time color quality grading system uses state-of-the-art CMOS image sensors, patent pending color space conversion and SVW's proprietary color distribution analysis techniques. ColorSort has also been used to perform high-speed evaluation of fruit maturity level. ColorSort is scalable for different processing capacity requirements. It was successfully field tested in 2007.
Medjool Date Grading:
SVW's QuickSort was developed for sorting Medjool dates and detecting surface defects of other fruit. This real-time fruit quality grading system is based on proprietary vision technologies that involve image processing algorithms, control and delivery, electronics, and optics. QuickSort is scalable for different processing capacity requirements. It evaluates date size and skin delamination into 8 unique grades at a speed of 40 pieces per second. QuickSort has been in use in the commercial sector since 2003.
RealTime-IO:
Real-IO provides a real-time Digital I/O interface for machine vision and automation applications. Most machine vision applications must synchronize the imaging system with part presence or part movement events via external signals from optical encoders as well as control delivering devices such as solenoids and solid-state relays. Real-IO uses an embedded computing system to handles these tasks in real-time freeing CPU processing power to focus on image processing and decision making tasks.
ShapeEval:
ShapeEval grades shape characteristics of object with irregular shapes. It was developed to grade oysters into 6 categories: broken shell, irregular shape, banana shape, large, medium, and small. ShapeEval can be used as a system for production line operation as well as an offline laboratory shape evaluation instrument.
3DVolume:
3DVolume measures volume and surface area of objects with irregular shapes. It was developed to grade oyster meat by volume but can also be used for other soft products. 3DVolume can be used as a system for production line operation as well as an offline laboratory shape evaluation instrument.
OmniSurface:
OmniSurface is a laboratory testing instrument for measuring volume and surface area of objects with irregular shapes. OmniSurface uses a turntable and back lighting to capture the silhouettes of the object at small angular intervals. OmniSurface then uses SVW's proprietary calibration and 3-D surface reconstruction techniques to form a 3-D wire frame for volume and surface measurements. OmniSurface has been used for measuring volume and surface area of fruit and vegetables for agricultural and biological research.
